Vaccination Requirements

Leduc Old Blades has entered into an agreement with the city of Leduc to help fast track you into the facility on game nights. This 'Fast lane' is ONLY for old blades sunday nights and is ONLY for players playing that evening.

At your first game playing, you will need to show your vaccination record, negative test or medical exemption paperwork to one of the executive board members. This MUST happen when you get to the rink. At that point we will mark you as 1 shot, 2 shot, 3 shot, negative test or medical exemption. It is very important that we are 100% accurate here or our ice time and allocation may be revoked.

In order for the City to streamline implementation of the Province’s COVID Restrictions Exemption Program (“REP”), we are asking facility user groups to act as the City’s authorized agents in ensuring and verifying that all member participants qualify for entry into City facilities.

To qualify, participants must provide one of the following:
• proof of vaccination:
             -partial vaccination (one dose) accepted Sept. 20 to Oct.25 if received 2 weeks before time of service
              -Full vaccination (two doses) required after Oct 25;
• proof of a privately-paid negative PCR or rapid test within 72 hours of service (tests from AHS or Alberta Precision Laboratories not allowed);
• documentation of a medical exemption.

As the City’s agents, facility user groups would assume the responsibility to ensure that only qualifying members enter the facility and participate in the user group activity. Those individuals will not be required to demonstrate qualifications to facility staff upon entry.

As the City’s agents, facility user groups agree to be diligent and non-compliance could result in facility closure and/or jeopardize your organizations future bookings.

Everyone else including spectators, parents, or referees must be prepared to provide proof of vaccination, negative Covid-19 PCR test that was completed within the past 72 hours or documented medical exemption when they enter the facility at our Rec Check stations.

The safety of our patrons and staff will continue to be our first priority and even though this is a significant and polarizing topic we appreciate your efforts to help spread the word and prepare your participants, coaches and spectators for what they can expect starting on Monday.  Unfortunately, some may experience delays when entering our buildings due to this new process and so we encourage all to arrive a few minutes early.

We also ask for your support in encouraging your membership to be kind and patient and respectful with the staff who are working at our facilities.  As always, disrespectful conduct and language directed at our staff will not be tolerated.  In the unfortunate event of a significant incident in a City facility that involves a member, volunteer or spectator of your organization we will be in touch to request your assistance in following up.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact any of the executive board!
